Lone Worker Safety

A lone-worker is an employee who performs an activity that is carried out in isolation from other workers without close or direct supervision. Under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007, employers have a legal duty to protect their employees in the workplace. Employees working outside normal working hours or alone on a premises are at risk.

TrustOn’s lone worker safety service provides a range of solutions designed to protect employees at their most vulnerable.

We can provide a licensed security professional to accompany a lone-worker when arriving at or leaving a premises, ensuring that both your staff and property are protected. We can also operate hourly check-calls to our control room(24/7, or as required). This allows a lone worker to book on, make hourly check-calls and book off via their mobile phone. Validation of the incoming caller ID happens automatically with a few number pad strokes. Should the lone worker need to raise an alert, a panic code or facility can be included. In the case of a lone worker missing a check call, our 24/7 control centre will call the lone workers mobile to check that everything is ok. If the employee becomes uncontactable, an alert will be raised with their employers.
