A thorough PAT testing schedule is essential in the prevention of electrical accidents. The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 stipulate that any electrical equipment that has the potential to cause injury is regularly maintained.
All electrical equipment and systems should be maintained and tested according to the IEE Code of Practice. This includes equipment both permanently connected to the minas and equipment connected by a plug.
